Why You Might Need It:
Everyone should schedule a routine cleaning at least two times per year (up to 4 times per year if recommended by your hygienist.) Not only does it keep the accumulation of bacteria and debris at bay, but it also allows the opportunity for your dentist to do a thorough examination and catch any abnormalities in your oral care right at the start of any issues.
What is the Procedure?
A routine cleaning involves an assessment of the health of your gums, a thorough cleaning of debris on the surface of your teeth and a detailed examination of the health of your entire mouth by your dentist.
What to Expect After Your Appointment:
You may experience some minor discomfort and/or bleeding after your appointment, but most patients report feeling “completely normal” immediately after their visit. The key to easy cleaning visits is to keep them consistent!
