Why You Might Need It:
We do our best to minimize any discomfort you may have during a dental procedure. It is sometimes necessary to numb the area prior to a procedure with a gentle anesthetic injection.
What is the Procedure?
Before injecting the anesthetic, the area is treated with a topical numbing agent that is painted onto the gum tissue. Our goal is that the injection is painless and involves minimal discomfort. Our entire team has trained for years to perform extremely gentle injections.
What to Expect After Your Appointment:
As the anesthesia wears off, you may feel slight discomfort at the injection site. Many patients report this discomfort subsiding within 24 hours and can be further minimized with the use of over the counter pain relievers.
